PAYING FORWARD

Joe and Will’s lives were far too short, but their impact endures. A meaningful way to perpetuate their legacies is by supporting organizations that nurtured their talents and that promote the healing power of art. With this in mind, the Lawrance family has established funds in Joe and Will’s names at the Washington Township Schools Foundation and the Indianapolis Art Center.

We invite you to contribute so that others, like Joe and Will, may bring beauty and comfort to our community and world through art.

Contributions to The Joe and Will Legacy Art Fund at the Washington Township Schools Foundation support annual awards to North Central High School seniors who display creativity, talent, and outstanding achievement during their time at North Central as well as fostering exceptional educational opportunities for students in the study and exploration of visual arts.

The BetterTogether Creative Wellness Fund at the Indianapolis Art Center, in memory of Joe and Will Lawrance will allow us to offer creative wellness programming to help individuals and the community engage in the healing power of creativity in a time when mental health resources too often are limited or not accessible. By providing opportunities for self-expression, emotional release and an appreciation for others’ lives, the creation and appreciation of art promotes mental health, creative thinking, idea generation, problem-solving, connections across traditional boundaries, and more.
